Professional Logo Design

If you're a startup like me, or if you have an existing business that needs a professional logo, I can work with you to create a look that people will recognize and you will be proud of. I know how much your logo is used as the face of your business, and I will work closely with you to make sure you're putting the right look out there.

If you're interested in any of my design services, or just want to connect, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Once we decide that I'm the right designer for you, we'll setup a phone consultation so that I can collect all of the details of your project. Some of the things we'll discuss on this initial call include your project needs and scope, your timeline and budget (if it's custom work).
From there, I'll provide you with an estimate for the work. Typically, you'll receive a first draft within a few days.

If you choose, I can be your full-service design and print provider. Once the designs are approved, I can work directly with the printer to complete the job and have them mailed to you for distribution.

Because most of my work is custom, it does require a custom quote. Please contact me for one.

An experienced Graphic & Web Designer looking to work with you

A little about me: I attended Coastal Carolina University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing degree. During college, I worked as a website project manager for a small business in Myrtle Beach, SC doing mainly project management, but some print and fax design. It was there that I realized my interest in design, especially print. I was really intrigued by the psychology of design and how certain designs just work.

After graduation, I relocated to my hometown just outside of Washington, DC for a new position at a startup web design and marketing company, Market Hardware, where I started as a website project manager. I learned a lot about web design at that time and even looked into getting my masters in graphic design. I eventually decided it was best to stay at my position and take a real-world approach to learning Photoshop and design. With the help of an expert designer at the company, along with countless hours of studying, practice, and feedback from my clients, I learned web and graphic design. I eventually grew into a director position which didn't require much design work, but I continued to work on print design for my own events, as well as design invitations for my friends and family.

After eight years at Market Hardware, I decided it was best for me to stay at home with my daughter, Mila. Since I've been home with her, I have been doing part-time design work and I am looking forward to doing more and growing this business I am enjoying so much.

I am organized, driven and diligent and I won't stop until you're 100% satisfied with my final product. I am looking forward to working with you!

Jeff & Erin's Wedding Invitation

Invitations

I was honored and excited when Jeff and Erin asked me to work with them on their wedding invitations. After our initial phone consultation, I had a good idea of what they were looking for in their invitations. They made it clear that they wanted some sort of a border and a coral, orange & mint green color scheme. Their wedding is in Key West, FL this summer, so naturally I brought in a palm tree and tropical flowers to the design. It was the Bride's decision to include the key symbol, which I completely loved.

We achieved the desired overall look and feel after the first deliverable. We worked through several iterations on the shading of the palm tree and the cursive font and we were able to find the perfect balance for their design.

The wedding invitation designs were sent to the printer for the final look on a white linen cardstock. They turned out beautifully!

Mitchell & Jeana's Wedding Koozie

Custom Design

Another fun project with a very fun bride! Mitch and Jeana wanted custom wedding koozies for their guests to use while in town at their wedding location - Palm Springs, CA. Jeana wanted to incorporate an olive branch wreath and the tagline "Jeana and Mitch are getting hitched", along with their wedding date and location. We worked on developing different colors, but then decided we wanted to print the design on colored koozies, so a white logo was best. They turned out great and their guests loved them!

Mila Carmen's Baptism Invitation

invitations

These invitations were for my daughter, Mila, who loves to pose for the camera, which makes this design a little more appealing in my book! I knew I wanted to use soft pink and a very light grey throughout the invitation, so I decided a subtle striped background would work best. I worked on the verbiage placement quite a bit and eventually decided it looked best within the horizontal lines.

I used a different printer for these invitations because I wanted a different look and I knew I wanted them to be square. They turned out exactly how I wanted them and the party decor matched the colors for a complete party look!

Patrick & Erica's Wedding Flyer

Custom Design

This wedding flyer was so much fun to create because it allowed me to include several different design styles and fonts onto one finished product. The flyer was included in the welcome bags for all of the wedding guests for their Miami beachfront wedding. The bride (who happens to be my sister!) knew generally what she wanted to include, but she allowed me to design it however I desired.

I was inspired by infographic art and my biggest challenge was keeping all of the information we needed to present clean and organized so that it was easy enough to follow. I loved incorporating the different fonts and cute wedding icons. The colors were driven by their University of Tennessee orange (where the bride and groom attended) and a complimentary teal.

These were printed on large, 11x15, cardstock and guests really enjoyed all of the details that were included.

Thomas & Ryan's Rehearsal Dinner Invitation

Invitations

These invitations were designed for my wedding rehearsal dinner. I wanted to do something new and different, and at the time (2013), the chalkboard look was trending. Our rehearsal dinner was low-key, held outside on the grounds of an estate we rented for the weekend. The colors used match my wedding colors - coral, teal & grey, and the fonts used were different than my formal wedding invitation. I wanted this invitation to be a little more fun. The background has a string of globe lights, which I thought paired well with the nighttime event we were having.

The back of the print was designed so that we could mail these as postcards. We included directions to the estate, and tied in the grey chevron, which we had used on each piece of our wedding stationery (hey-it was popular at the time!). The postcards came out great - they were printed on a semi-gloss paper, and the event was even better!

Mila Carmen's Birth Announcement

custom

This design was created to announce the birth of my daughter, Mila. I quite honestly cannot remember what inspired the design, but I knew I wanted to include as many images as I could on the announcement. Narrowing the photos down to five was a challenge! I wanted the announcement to look cute and fun, so I made sure I found fonts that followed that theme. We still have this one hanging on the side of our fridge!

Jeff & Erin's Rehearsal Dinner Invitation

invitations

This design was part of the suite of products I created for Jeff and Erin. Their wedding is in Key West, FL this summer. I wanted the general look to somewhat match their wedding design and the watercolor look of their save the date, but thought this rehearsal dinner design could be a little more fun and colorful. We used the same fonts as we did on their formal invitations and the colors somewhat match as well. After playing around with the watercolor fade and the fonts, we decided this was the best look for them.

These were printed on 4x4 linen cardstock and came out beautifully! The bride and groom are very happy with them.

Greg & Cassondra's Wedding Invitation

invitations

This was a fun design project with an easy-going bride who also gave the perfect amount of direction. The bride and groom really liked the idea of keeping it simple. They wanted to incorporate a pale pink to match the bride's wedding shoes and also wanted a soft lace and mixed fonts to be incorporated. Another cute design element they wanted to include was the quote on the back from the movie, "Sweet Home Alabama." I love the way it finished the look on the back.

I took several lace vectors and we tried them out before deciding the more flowery, thick lace looked best at the top of the design. We brought the same lace vector onto the back of the invitation behind the quote section of the design. The colors are soft, but stand out enough to give the design some contrast.

They were happy with the final design and the details used on the design tied into their wedding event perfectly.
